The City of Trees Environmental Plan
The City of Trees Environmental Plan is the master plan for Sendai’s environmental policies. It is based on the concept of “A City that Learns from Trees and Lives with Trees”.
The plan’s goal is to maximize the potential of trees (=greenery), by becoming a city that learns from how trees (=forests) work, protects and cultivates trees (=forests), and lives in harmony and symbiosis with trees (=forests).
