Sendai City will subsidize the interest paid on general education loans (national education loans) from the Japan Finance Corporation while your child is in high school.

Parents and guardians of students attending municipal elementary or junior high schools or Sendai Seiryo Secondary School (lower secondary course only) who are finding it difficult to send their children to school due to financial difficulties, are eligible to apply for assistance.

Household waste, plastic containers and packaging, cans, glass bottles, PET bottles, dry batteries,and paper materials will be collected as usual on weekends and holidays. In accordance with the city rules, please set out your garbage at the designated collection area on the designated collection day between early morning and 8:30a.m.

From April, those having trouble paying national pension premiums will be able to apply retroactively for exemptions, payment period extensions, and student payment exceptions for a period up of up to two years and one month before the month of application. If your application is approved, you will be granted an exemption from, or extension on, national pension premiums.

・Capacity: 30 people (first-come, first-served basis)

・Capacity: 30 people for each day
※You can get your test results about one hour after blood has been taken. (If the result is put on hold, you will be notified later.)

・Capacity: 35 people (first-come, first-served basis)
※Test results will be notified directly to the test taker one week after the test.

Applications(Aoba Ward): You can make a reservation by phone using a designated number(090-4478-4641) from one month before the test until the day before on weekdays between 1:00p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Online applications are also accepted via the official city website.
