*What is The ICT Section Network for Local Authorities in the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster-stricken Area (ISN)?
Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City jointly established the ISN in May, 2011
as a platform to share information among disaster-stricken local government
officials who are in charge of ICT. Presently, 43 municipalities joined the
ISN.
In order to share information and deepen the cooperation between those
municipalities, ISN aims to make progress in the reconstruction of disaster-stricken
areas effectively and efficiently, as well as to contribute towards becoming
a city that is know for having next-level disaster prevention plans utilizing
ICT based on the disaster experience.
