When you need to get rid of a large quantity of waste due to moving residence or cleaning, you may either apply for a pickup or bring it to a disposal plant yourself.

You cannot put out items that are not collected by the City Government.

To have waste picked up at your house (extra waste)

1.Apply for pickup

See the following list then apply for pickup by phone.(Please apply for pickup in Japanese)

• Give the details of the item you want to dispose of.
• The operator will tell you a possible pickup date, where to put it out and the fee payable for its disposal.

2.Put out waste for collection

Put out waste at the appointed place on the pickup day.

The person collecting waste will not enter your house. Please put waste outside your house.

You must be at the appointed place when waste is being picked up.

Do not put out waste prior to the pickup date.

3.Pay the fee

Pay the fee by cash for the disposal of waste to the person who comes to your house to pick up waste.

The place to which you must bring waste will differ depending on the type of waste. First check where to bring your waste by phone.
