• They are not bulky waste. They are collected by the manufacturers for recycling.
• The methods of collecting these appliances are stipulated in the Household Electric Appliance Recycling Law.
• Take-away and recycling charges are required. For the amount of charges, please check when you apply for disposal.

• The retailer that you bought the appliance from or are buying its replacement from.
• Sendai City licensed waste haulers, if you are not sure which retailer you bought it from.

Computers

• They are not bulky waste. They are collected by the manufacturers for recycling. (In the case of printers and scanners, the City Government accept them as either bulky waste or household waste depending on the size of the item.) 
• The method of collecting computers is stipulated in the Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources.
• Take-away and recycling charges are required. For the amount of charges, please check when you apply for disposal.

Other items not collected by the city government

• Tires, Fire extinguishers, Propane gas cylinders, Batteries, Small rechargeable batteries including portable chargers, Paint,Gasoline, Waste oil, Explosives, Powerful drugs, Agrochemicals, Toxic substances, Pianos, Items weighing more than 100kg such as large safes, Motorcycles with an engine larger than 50cc, Cars, etc., :Please consult with the retailer from whom you bought the item or a retailer dealing in that kind of product.

Waste from shops, businesses, schools and establishments other than households

• These items are not collected by the City Government because the sorting and disposal methods are different from waste generated by households.
• Please make contracts with Sendai City licensed waste haulers to have this kind of waste picked up.
