There is a system for the reduction of National Health Insurance premiums for households whose total income falls below a certain threshold. If your National Health Insurance premiums were reduced last fiscal year and Sendai City has not received your household’s total income for the last fiscal year, a declaration form will be sent in mid-May that must be submitted by May 29th, 2018.

You must enroll in the National Pension program if you are aged 20 to 59 years old, leave your job and as a result lose your qualification to receive employees’ pension or mutual aid pension. If you have a spouse who is your dependent, your spouse must also enroll in the National Pension Program.

Light Vehicle Tax is levied on persons who owned a light vehicleas of April 1st of the current year. The tax notice for FY 2018 is sent on May14th. Please pay at your nearest financial institution by May 31st. For those paying via bank transfer, the transfer day will be May 31st. If you receive welfare or have a disability, you may be eligible for a reduced tax rate. In order to get the reduction, you must apply from May 14 to 31. Please inquire for further details and conditions.

Certificates are issued by the municipality in which you resided on January 1, 2018.
The issuing day for the 2018 FY is as follows.

We offer “Evening Junior High School” to students who weren’t able to receive compulsory education due to various circumstances, to relearn the basic curriculum.
The night school will be held at the following two locations:

Eligibility: Infants under the age of one (the standard age for BCG vaccinations is five to seven months old)
Things to bring: Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Handbook, BCG vaccination coupon from the MCH Handbook voucher packet (please fill out and detach)
Please wait at least 28 days after your child receives a live vaccine, or 7 days after your child receives an inactive vaccine (such as DPT-IPV) before having BCG vaccinations.

Sendai City is conducting anonymous consultations and testing.
Testing should be conducted from the day that you think you contracted the disease and before 12 weeks have passed.
Test results will be directly notified to the test taker one week after the test at the site where the test was taken and an explanation will be given. The issuing of Examination Result Certificates (fee-based) is restricted to AIDS. For those who require a certificate please contact the location up until the day before testing and bring proof of identification with you on the test day.
