Please make the second FY 2018 Inhabitant Tax Payment at your closest financial institution by August 31st(Fri.). If paying by bank/postal transfer, the transaction will be processed on August 31st(Fri.).

We issue the gendogakutekiyo ninteisho “Eligibility Certificate for Ceiling-Amount Application (for tax exempted households, “Eligibility Certificate for Ceiling-Amount Application and Reduction of the Standard Amount of Patient Liability (foodcosts can be reduced)”). We recommend you apply to obtain the certificate, if you are expecting to be admitted to hospital or receive high-cost medical treatments.
In addition, if you are aged between 70 and 74 and covered by the National Health Insurance, or covered by the Medical Care Systemfor the Elderly, you may not need to obtain the certificate depending on your income, so please contact the following offices for more details.

Sendai City has sent documents for the Child-Rearing Allowance to single-parent households with children under 18 years of age, and documents for the Special Child-Rearing Allowance to households with children with disabilities to confirm whether said households are eligible to receive these allowances. Please complete the documents and submit them in person (please do not send by post).

It has been reported that Japan is experiencing an outbreak of measles. There are cases of travelers who have contracted the measles’ virus outside of Japan or developed measles after coming back (or entering) Japan. Please note the following points when you plan to travel abroad.
